It will be great if someone could code an indicator which gives out a possible arrow in the direction once the conditions are satisfied. In such we can monitor more pairs at a time. Anyone care to help out here...Yawks?

kind regards

Thanks for sharing, Tradesmart — been using your strat for the last hour or so and so far so good, 2—0 ITM for now.

Love me some simple & effective strat! Have a beer on me this weekend, buddy, you deserved it. Cheers!

Try overlaying a 5,3,3 stoc on the forex MTN - see what you think.

Added a standard stoc like Comedian said and also BB alert arrows — 5-0 ITM. One was a 15M trade by accident but was also ITM.  ^_^

Could you elaborate a bit on that one, stochs vs mtn and how it could benefit to add something extra ?
Not a critic or anything, but rather a challenge to get the collective brain going :P

Well, I think it helps avoid fake dots as can ignore the dots until stoc begins to pick up drop off as appropriate.

So for eg on GBP USD right now there is a line of blue dots, 50 above 100 and if you'd taken the 1st dot below 100MA (think it is the 3rd in sequence) you'd be 15m into a losing trade (it might come back yet).

Stoc would prevent it. Looks good on the same window and takes up no extra space.

OK, so where would you enter in terms of the stoch

Originally I did use the MACD instead of the MTN dots, I would wait for a crossover on the MACD and it worked quite good, but I just found I was getting in too late on good trades where as the forex MTN got me in trades nicely regarding timing.

I wouldn't enter - just looks like it has too much power and wait to see if 50 crosses 100.

I like your strategy :)

Thanks :)

What I meant was regarding the stoch, what would you be looking for in terms of an entry. For eg crossover or overbought oversold ect ?

Hmmm

looking at it I think stoc 5,3,3 gives more entries without the forex dots. Personal preference though - your strat is fine as it is :) I also hate to add loads of indicators.

I dunno - have to take momentum into consideration - if price moves hard and at a steep angle it seems hard to predict when it's going to come out.

Looking back on this strat I'd say it is very very good when the MA's are quite flat - if they starts hitting 45 degrees then it can plow through and not stop.

If it was flattish and I had a dot appear I'd be looking for stoc to have not broken 80/20 or if it had to look like it was going to leave soon.

I try to think of the curves like a trajectory - of a ball for example.

Unless the 45 degree is the way you want to go of course!
