yeah i guess so, still having trouble with knowing when to take profit mixed with having a day job and unable to monitor trades enough. Thanks for the feedback :)

I can only comment on the technical part (levels and trend).  They looked good,.  The fundamental part I don't know, because I don't read up on Yen.

When you are working full time, it is indeed difficult to read up on the news related to the currencies you trade.  It's the major advantage I have on most

people here.  I only trade and don't have to worry about a day job.

Any thoughts on this losing trade?

I would personally suggest to start with EU and master it first. This pair, in my opinion, has way much more respect for the levels compared to UJ.

Have you noticed that 95% of trades Traderpusa takes are on EU? And he has been trading Larry for years! Unlike you and me. There must be a good reason behind it :)

I have been trading Larry live for half a year by now. 100% of my live trades are on EU. And it's more than enough for me! Both in terms of pips and concentration it takes and time I want to devote to my trading.

All of the above is only my personal suggestion. I admire many guys here who can monitor and succeed trading many pairs. But we are all different.

Let me answer that question with a simple page that explains why I prefer EURUSD

https://fxssi.com/mo...-currency-pairs

most-liquid-currency-pairs.jpg

For levels to work, and also a pair to have a good reaction to news, it needs to be liquid.  This liquidity is real volume opposed to the tick volume others use.

So once you move away from the main pairs and start trading cross pairs you see the liquidity drop dramatically.

When you are a novice, start with the most liquid which is also the most predictable pair, so EURUSD.

And once you are not a novice anymore, you tend to stay with a pair you know very well, so that is EURUSD again.

As you can see from my results, once pair is all you need to make money.  And patience.

Once the Chinese government lifts all restrictions on the RMB I think the USDCNY will settle among the majors very fast,

just because the trading volume between USA and China.

Will tell you my personal experience again. I devote roughly 1-1.5 hours per day to my trading in total. That is it. I don't stare the chart day through. Most of my trades are made as limit orders. I usually look at the chart for some 5-10 minutes every hour.

As for the fundamental part... Don't want to risk to be thrown out from the thread by Traderpusa :) , but I don't read news whatsoever. I am a technical trader, and I personally believe that if you can read charts well, you can trade fine only using technical aspect. Not in any way I deny that fundamentals determine where assets will move, and I do keep an eye on when and which news are released, but for me it only matters in terms of anticipation when and how wide next move can be.

Still multiple timeframe analysis gives me sufficient ground to make my trading decisions irrespective of what politicians and banks do and say.

Mind you, I don't use only levels and trend. I use other aspects of price action that suit me (no indicators) to take decisions at which level to take Larry trade and where to stay away.

I won't elaborate on this to not derail Larry thread. I just wanted people who don't have sufficient time for trading to know which other ways might work. Just keep on working and looking for what works best for you. For myself I can only say that I would probably quit trading (though it is something I am truly passionate about) if I had to read the news that possibly can influence movement of the currency pair I trade every day, day after day, lol!!
