Some of you have PM me about not getting consitent results with the HH/Failure approach so I decided to start a new thread with a stricter version of the div/failure approach. I want to help you guys to be profitable. With this strategy there are few opportunities every day but if you apply with hard discipline the rules you will count the losses by few I can assure you. Its a simple strategy good for newbies and few analysis is needed. Just follow rules and dont take trades without them. I will only post images about trades that accomplish the rules. I will keep the other thread open for discuss a more open approach of failure/div.

RULES:

- Div in CCI with both spikes on extreme ob/os levels (180-180)

-Nice retracement on the divergence at least minimum retracement to middle BBands but better from top to bottom of bands and viceversa

-Nice reversal strong candle coming from bands even opening outside the bands

EXTRA CONFIRMATION (optional for safer trades):

-Vdi volume decrase in the divergence

- HH/LL Failure (Jimtang Alert) on reversal candle (alert candle) coming from bands (touch) or outside

If all rules are met open trade for 30 min expiration

can cci divergence be coded into an indi?

coz we can get routine cci divergence on the internet but i cant find one that specify both spike to be ob/os (>180 or <-180)

Really interesting, when I started to test your previous strategy I was trading this kind of setups, retracement in CCI, less volume and divergence. I want to use this mainly for Forex, most difficult part I think would be knowing when to place TP as sometimes you catch really nice momentum but not always.

I will give it a try and give you feedback, do you recomend pairs?

You can use any Major pair. If You apply the approach in forex look for div in doble bottoms and floors or strong s/d zones and TP after div in strong sr is confirmed and price crosses 20 sma (bollinger middle band)

If the level is strong you can trade after reversal candle open outside bands with HH/LL failure and CCI 180/-180

I wouldnt take that trade. Not enough retracement in price and CCI not in OS condition

Hello ghbdr,

many thank´s for all your effort.

My question is, are you alway sitting in front of your PC and waiting for the right setting ??

Or do you have an alert ?

I check charts regulary but not sitted all the time. Jimtang alert works for me so when is displayed I start my analysis. If I see price is close to make a double bottom/top or important level I watch closely

Its a nice continuation trade. Not following exact rules as we trade reversals in extreme OB/OS status but the trade is correct as a hidden div continuation trade taking advantage of OS status
