Hey,

Is there really no possibility to test an indicator but with different than default settings? :(

Yes you can, but you have to do a bit of coding:

If you use cUseSimpleIndicator=true then you have to add variables for the parameters you want to change:

Edit Konkis Tester EA in Metaeditor:

Example: An Indicator that has the similar params as Bollinger-Bands.

Add your new parameters below --== Simple Arrow Indicator settings ==--

e.g.

extern int    Periods=20;
extern double Deviation=2.31;
"extern" makes them appear in the "Expert Advirory Options"

Find the following lines
double call=iCustom(Symbol(),PERIOD_CURRENT,cIndicatorName,cIndicatorUpBuffer,cIndicatorShift);
double put=iCustom(Symbol(),PERIOD_CURRENT,cIndicatorName,cIndicatorDownBuffer,cIndicatorShift);

and adapt them, that your new parameters will be forwarded into the indicator:
  • ! Add your parameters after cIndicatorName
  • ! Add your parameters in the exact same order as they appear in the "Inputs" of your Indicator. Or see the description or code of your indicator.
  • ! From the list of possible parameters add all until the one you want to change.
  • E.g. the params of my indicator are Periods, DeviationBandsShiftI wanted to customize Deviation so I added Periods, Deviation.

Result:

   double call=iCustom(Symbol(),PERIOD_CURRENT,cIndicatorName,Periods,Deviation,cIndicatorUpBuffer,cIndicatorShift);
   double put=iCustom(Symbol(),PERIOD_CURRENT,cIndicatorName,Periods,Deviation,cIndicatorDownBuffer,cIndicatorShift);

My 2 cents:
Unleash the power of MT4 and dive into MT4-Programming. It's not so hard and you use only 50% of MT if you don't do your own programming.

How to get the best permament results? My ea gives me 1000 trades every month, average 57.5% itm and 1.81 payout. Do you think guys is it good?

This is quite good.

It's hard to code an EA that makes > 57% constantly.

Please share your settings and the indi.

If it looks good and is not a repainting thing, I will do some backtesting over 1-2 years and different pairs.

This is [email protected]#king brilliant i have been wanting to be able to do this for years works great!!!

My programming was a bit rusty but i was able to figure it out in about an hour.

I have a very good strategy that needs some tweaking it hits big wins i just need the program to stop bidding for x amount of bars on a loss as it will loose the wins on consecutive bids..

please contact me if you are interested in having a look at it for me.

let me know if you make any updates!

Allow multiple bet at the same time

yXNKVIz.jpg

Martingale : choose between next candle and next signal

y6yWA4e.jpg

Hold function : Wait X candle before taking a new signal

Have a nice evening to all of you.

Hope you will enjoy these new features.

Take care,

Konkis;

IT DOES NOT WORK correctly, I put the name of the indicator and it deactivates the gala martin, but it takes the tickets as if I had the martingale active. I also configure the buffers well and enter the positions backwards
