Looking at the images I'm a little confused. If the last bar is a yellow dot, do we trade if: 1) The yellow dot is in the red zone ? OR 2) The High/Low with the yellow dot is in the red zone ? OR 3) The Close with the yellow dot is in the red zone ? Thanks

Thanks for your efforts and for sharing. However, trading on the 1 min time frame with 5 min exp. Trading with the trend, following all rules. EU/US. Not trading news. 9 ITM / 7 OTM. Following indicators perfectly. Could it be that the strat simply doesn't gel well with these trade time frames?  I will test the 30 min expiry and see if results differ. Thanks.

I recommend following the Rules : 5min TF with 30Min Expiry recomended...

Any other options at your own risk....

As Slaty said in first post. You place trade when yellow dot is in red band, above or below red band is better/best. Place trade at close of candle, not when dot appears.

I hope this makes this simple strategy easier to understand.

Thanks for the reply Slaty. I think the issue i'm facing is the 'current short term trend'. The bands show the market trend in a broader aspect. For example if we're in a downtrend (short term for a few hrs) then the regression bands sometimes still show an uptrend (curving upwards suggesting long term trend is bullish). Take a call on the lower red bands assuming we're in a an uptrend(trading with the trend) and the price continues to go down resulting in OTM. How should one trade in this situation? Thanks and have a good weekend!

CHECK THIS PICTURE, the bands are pointing down at the time of the signal, the price hits the uper bands and then retrace down in the direction of the trend.

Thanks for the graph. I have a funny feeling im looking at the far right-side (end of graph) and assuming that is the current trend. Instead i need to be looking at the curve

a lot closer right AT the point of the signal? e.g if curve is downward at signal but upwards at end of graph(on the tail) the trend is still to be taken as bearish? - Sorry for so many questions. Really appreciate the advice and help!

The reason why the bands look diferent is because the ones in the original link make my Mt4 slow down, this is a problem, so I use this indi with same setting,

maybe someone here know different indy that do not slow down mt4.

https://www.mql5.com...1749/i-regr.mq4

change the degree to "4" in the indicator input, let me know if the link is not working.

REMEMBER, you need to change the degree to number 4 in order to get the correct

curve in the channel.
